L Brands Inc. (LB) Broke Out To A New High After Q3 Outlook Raised

L Brands Inc. (LB) announced after the bell Monday that its October comparable store sales are expected to be up 5%. The company now expects to report third quarter EPS between $0.51 and $0.53, up from previous guidance of $0.40 to $0.45. Analysts expected EPS of $0.48.

L Brands gapped open higher Tuesday, but was range-bound for the majority of the session. The stock closed up by 2.93 at $99.38 on above average volume. L Brands rose past the upper end of a 3-week trading range and set a new high for the year.
