The report is based on feedback from real estate pros that Hanley Wood surveys nationally. The report cites engineered siding as a 78.6 percent payback at resale. Of all the siding types in the report, engineered siding was listed with the highest replacement value. The survey has a plus or minus 2 percent margin of error. All the siding projects in the report are in the midrange projects category.
