SPX Corp. (SPXC) Is Up Sharply Following Q4 Report

SPX Corp. (SPXC) reported fourth quarter adjusted EPS of $0.52 after the bell Thursday. Full year 2016 core EPS is expected to be between $0.95 and $1.25. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $1.30.

The company also announced that it has hired an advisor to help assess further strategic alternatives for portions of its power generation business that are underperforming.

SPX gapped up at the open Friday and has risen sharply in early trade. Shares are now up 1.83 at $11.31. The stock has broken out to over a 3-month high.
