2 Southwest Airlines Planes Collide at Airport

Two Southwest Airlines planes collided at a Seattle Airport on Monday.

It happened Monday morning at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport while crews were relocating the planes to a cargo area.

Officials said one of the planes rolled forward, causing it to get lodged under a second plane's rear stabilizer, causing them to be stuck together for hours.

No one was on board either aircraft. No injuries were reported.

Dallas-based Southwest released a statement regarding the incident that said in part:

Aircraft Maintenance personnel are working to thoroughly examine both aircraft to determine any necessary repairs to be performed prior to returning the aircraft to scheduled service.  Our Station Employees at Sea-Tac are working with Customers whose travel plans today are disrupted by this morning's event.  We apologize for any inconveniences as we ensure the Safe operation of every flight.
