CARSON CITY — The Nevada Supreme Court has refused to remove Clark County District Court Judge Elizabeth Goff Gonzales from handling a trial in which a former executive is suing Sands China for millions of dollars.
Sands China complained the judge was biased in her pretrial decisions.
The Supreme Court said comments and rulings by Gonzales did not show bias and that lawyers for Sands China failed to file required documents for the case to be reassigned.
Steven Jacobs filed suit after he was fired as the head of Sands China. He maintains he was promised stock worth millions of dollars in a contract but never received anything after his dismissal.
