New Rochelle New Year's Event Raises Monday for Westchester Children's Museum

The Westchester Children's Museum is located in Rye.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — For the seventh year in a row, New Roc City hosted a family event on New Year’s Eve day for parents and kids.

More than 1,500 kids and parents witnesses the noon-time drop of 3,000 colorful and festive balloons which fell from nets attached to the railings of the atrium.

“Ring in the New Year at Noon has become a year-end tradition featuring fun activities for kids, arts and crafts, balloon animals and hats, face painting, rides, clowns, great food and celebrity appearances as well as sacks for the kids with goodies inside,” said Sherry Bruck, founder of Harquin Creative Group and the creator and organizer of the event. “This year we were lucky to have NY Ranger Alum Ron Greschner on hand to sign autograph and was a big hit with parents and kids.”
