The Big Glen Burnie Carnival

Northern Anne Arundel County’s premier summer event, a Glen Burnie tradition dating back to 1908, is a neighborhood carnival in the classic tradition: food, games, rides (from the kid-friendly Tea Cups to the more rambunctious Tilt-a-Whirl) and tons of good-time atmosphere. Save room for a hot dog or three. Opens Friday and runs through Aug. 6 (closed Sunday) behind the Glen Burnie Improvement Association building, 19 Crain Highway South. 6:30 p.m.-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
