Alaska Air Group, Inc. (ALK) reported a 6.4 percent increase in traffic for July 2015 to 3.15 billion revenue passenger miles, while capacity expressed in available seat miles climbed 6.9 percent to 3.57 billion.
Passenger load factor for the month edged down 0.4 points to 88.1 percent. These statistics include flights operated by Alaska and those under capacity purchase agreements, including Horizon, SkyWest and PenAir.
Alaska Airlines reported a 5.7 percent increase in traffic on a 6.4 percent increase in capacity compared to July 2014. Load factor decreased 0.6 points to 88.5 percent. Alaska also reported 86.4 percent of its flights arrived on time in July, compared to 84.1 percent reported in July 2014.
Horizon Air reported a 5.7 percent increase in July traffic on a 3.6 percent increase in capacity compared to July 2014. This resulted in a 1.9 point increase in load factor to 84.3 percent. Horizon also reported 82.4 percent of its flights arrived on time in July, compared to the 86.9 percent reported in July 2014.
