If Kent Rathbun has it his way, your usual airport meals of TGI Friday's potato skins and despair will soon be a thing of the past. Rathbun's opening a branch of Hickory, the barbecue and burger concept he recently debuted in Plano, at DFW Airport.
The airport outpost sadly won't open until the end of 2016, but it will be located in Terminal B — a very good thing, as most of the upper-echelon dining options are reserved for the international travelers of Terminal D. Per a press release, airport-goers can expect menu items like pepper-crusted Wagyu brisket, a bacon-and-egg-topped burger, and craft beer and cocktails; the restaurant will include a "cozy lounge, backlit bar, large HD TVs and a healthy collection of Dallas-area sports memorabilia."
