Pleasant Hills Council OKs plan for new shopping center

A coffee shop, dental practice and mobile phone retailer could be opening in a new shopping center in Pleasant Hills.

Borough council Monday unanimously approved a land development application for a plaza located at 420 Clairton Blvd., borough Manager Deborah Englert said.

Developers plan to demolish the building that once housed Pier 1 Imports and Party City to make way for the new shopping center, she said.

The Pleasant Hills Planning Commission recommended the project for council's approval at its June meeting, Englert said.
