Choice Hotels International, Inc Profit Rises 5% In Q3

Choice Hotels International, Inc (CHH) announced earnings for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $41.42 million, or $0.72 per share. This was up from $39.37 million, or $0.67 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.72 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 12.3% to $241.53 million. This was up from $215.17 million last year.
