Windstream service down in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A “router failure” has caused a service outage for more than 22,000 customers in Lexington, Windstream officials said Monday evening.

According to the internet and telephone provider, technicians were made aware of the issue around 5 p.m. and have dispatched crews to start working on the problem.

Windstream spokesperson Michael Teague didn’t have an estimated time of repair, but says the company is working with “all hands are on deck” to repair the problem.
