Augsburg-based mailroom specialist BÖWE SYSTEC and well-known Japanese printer manufacturer RISO have underscored their partnership with a cooperation agreement. As an official RISO reseller in the European region, BÖWE SYSTEC is now offering RISO's innovative ComColor 9150 printing solution alongside its Perfect Binder as a tailored inline binding system. BÖWE SYSTEC is also working with RISO to implement the White Paper Factory in the field of inserting and card mailing.

The ComColor 9150 and the Perfect Binder add a high-performance inkjet solution and a finishing solution to the BÖWE SYSTEC portfolio. This enables the end-to-end mailroom provider to offer its customers low-cost alternatives to toner printing and attractive entry-level systems for color printing in the office and transaction environment. The RISO ComColor 9150 inkjet printer delivers high-quality simplex and duplex color printing of individually designed A4 documents from the very first printed sheet - without the need for a test print. It has a high stacking capacity of up to 4,000 sheets and is considered the industry's fastest inkjet printer when it comes to cut-sheet processing. As it prints cold, it does not require a long warm-up phase and is ready for use immediately. It is equally capable of processing large-volume jobs and short print runs, and can also reprint individual documents with ease. Moreover, the ComColor 9150 is an efficient and eco-friendly solution thanks to its low power consumption and its use of oil-based inks. RISO's Perfect Binder inline binding system supplements the high-performance ComColor 9150 with automatic high-speed glue binding. It is capable of binding small and large print runs alike, making it the ideal solution for the on-demand production of books and brochures.
High-quality color printing with individual messages at a low investment cost and total cost of ownership (TCO) is in greater demand than ever among mailroom operators and their customers - and the White Paper Factory offers cost-effective solutions to satisfy the associated requirements. In the field of inserting, RISO and BÖWE SYSTEC have therefore developed "The Bridge" together, a solution for the implementation of the White Paper Factory in the mailroom and office environment. This special configuration links the RISO ComColor 9150 inkjet printer with BÖWE SYSTEC's tried-and-tested Vario inserting system via a darkened bridge component. It allows documents to be printed on demand, transported onward and subsequently inserted without any need for manual intervention. Small jobs and reprints can also be processed quickly and easily, while closed loop processing guarantees maximum integrity. BÖWE SYSTEC's latest card mailing systems, Cardcube and Card Light, have made the White Paper Factory possible in card mailing, too, thanks to the integrated ComColor 9150. They cover all the process stages fully automatically, from the color printing of the personalized carrier document, including reprints, via card attaching all the way to inserting - and on top of that on a minimal footprint.
The partnership between RISO and BÖWE SYSTEC began in 2014 and became finally official with the signing of the most recent local cooperation agreements in December of last year.
