Facebook (FB) is testing out a new profile tags feature in New Zealand that is similar to an already existing LinkedIn (LNKD) feature.

The new Facebook profile tags feature allows users to add tags to their profiles. These tags can include emoji and other characters. Friends can also choose to add tags to a user’s profile, but they must be approved before they show up publicly, reports The Verge.

The new Facebook profile features will alert users with notifications once a tag has been added by a friend. At this point they can be rejected, accepted or ignored. Also, friends can choose to “Like” tags on a person’s profile. These tags will be listed in order of which ones have the most likes, The Verge notes.

“When you introduce friends to each other, you might share a unique characteristic or something they might have in common, like ‘…Connie is an avid cyclist too,'” Facebook told The Next Web when speaking about profile tags.
