Planes over Longmont
•In regard to the people complaining about the skydiving planes on the weekend, how about complaining about the dogs that bark all day, morning doves that go from sun up (until) noon, and the noisy cars, trucks and motorcycles that go all times in the day.
•This is about the (call) “Drone of the planes.” Whoever this may be, why does one company get to disturb the live of 70,000 people? Well, they’re not. There are 10 to 20 people that call and complain.
Noise
I am so tired of people telling others to stop complaining. You are either deaf, dumb, or have no empathy for others. You’re right. Not everyone is bothered by plane or train noise or the revving of a motorcycle at 6 a.m. or the guy across the street playing that crappy music, but a lot of people are.
Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood made half a billion (dollars) last year and they got that much in tax assistance from the government of our money. Yet here they are 4 million abortions a year, now they catch them on tape…selling off the organs of the aborted fetuses. What kind of ghoulish people are these that are getting our tax dollars, millions of dollars of tax money?
Marshall Plan
Germany’s (chancellor), Angela Merkel, said nobody gave Germany anything when they were out of money. Not true. We had this Marshall Plan. West Germany got $16.5 billion from U.S.A between 1949 and 1951 to reconstruct, $16.5 billion. Something like this must be done for Greece right now.
Granting clemency
President (Obama) has destroyed the United States economy, ruined the best health care system the world has ever seen, has given Iran a nuclear deal without once even mentioning the American hostages Iran is holding and now with his racist agenda, he is freeing convicted drug dealers from prison because they are black.
Fact or bashing time
I no longer read the paid editorials in the paper such as Charles Krauthammer and Mr. Wells because all they do is bash liberals and they bash the president. It’s to the point where I don’t know what anything they are saying has any real basis in fact or it’s just bashing time.
Primitive but effective
Some people seem surprised that GOP hopeful Donald Trump is successfully launching an inflammatory, derogatory campaign. The simple tactic of painting immigrants as rapists and carriers of disease is really no different from ISIS beheading captives. Sure it repulses most people but it’s also drawing a certain type of person likes moths to a flame. Trumps antics are primitive yet proven throughout history to be very effective.
Vicious cycle
The grousing about the tenant mix coming at the new mall is no surprise. It’s a vicious cycle. You have a lot of hamburger flippers, you’re going to have a lot of hamburger joints and vice a versa. National and regional retailers are not stupid. They are not going to come to place where the middle class hardly exists.
Dillards and Westminster
I wish people would get it straight. It isn’t what the city or developer did to Dillards. It’s what Dillards did to city and the developer. Ask the city of Westminster. The same game was played there.
