I am from: Lubbock

Occupation: Partner of Serendipitous Adventures LLC, current owner of Candy Wrapper and Crave, a dessert bar

Website: candywrappertexas.com, cravedessertlbk.com

How I ended up in this business: I have an insatiable sweet tooth and assume every one else does as well.

I also have always loved the business world. I love building staffs and teaching employees a wide range of things applicable in and out of work.

I like meeting customers and selling something so enjoyable. I had the opportunity to work with my mom, who is one of my best friends. Who could have turned it down?

The one thing I enjoy most about my work: People! My staff, customers, even non-customers (It's OK, I understand you can't eat the candy all the time, so you look).

My business philosophy is: People first, always. No amount of money, time, product, etc. is more important than a human.

If you put people first, you'll be a success. Treat everyone right from the dish washer to the CEO of the company you order from to the customer buying just 50 cents worth of candy and success will follow. Every (every, every, every) person is infinitely valuable.

What Lubbockites may not know about the Candy Wrapper: We carry Kate Spade's gift line, it is gorgeous and the perfect gift, no matter the occasion! Kate and candy, it's a hit!

The best advice I've ever received: Every job is your job; you're not above doing anything. So the best way to earn respect is to be the hardest worker in the room whether you are leading the team or scrubbing the floors, which is actually leading the team too.

The person I most admire is: My parents! I can't choose one, they are both awesome examples in business.

My dad is one of the partners at Hargrove & Associates, which is the best commercial painting company in Lubbock, and my mom owned and ran Coffee Haus and is my business partner in Serendipitous LLC and all the ventures that will bring our way.

So they have set amazing business examples of how to work hard and treat people. Then they just completely rock as parents in my personal/family life.

My family: My parents you already know about. I have two brothers. My baby brother, Trey Hargrove, works with us at Candy Wrapper and will be heading up the front lines as the COO at Crave! My middle little brother, Austin Hargrove, works with my dad at Hargrove & Associates and he's given me the best gift, besides motherhood, which is being an aunt to the coolest 6 year old on the planet!

My husband, Justin Jablonsky, owns his own small construction business, Red Oaks Lubbock. He builds pergolas and does home remodels and, in his spare time, he cares for our brand new addition - my daughter, Poppy Leigh. She is the most perfect thing who ever lived - even when she spits up on me right after I have changed clothes.

If I could be anything, I'd be: Exactly who I am. Someone who loves God and the life he has blessed me with. I get to be a wife, a mother, a business partner (who LOVES her job) a sister, a daughter and the most awesome friend you'll ever have.

I wish I knew how to: Knit, sew, craft! I'll never know.

If I could change one thing about Lubbock, it would be: The wind. Just the wind. I love Lubbock!

When I retire, I plan to: Enjoy life to the fullest wherever I find myself and whatever I find myself doing. But honestly, I'll probably never retire and stop working, because what's the fun in that?
