Omnicare employees to be affected by CVS Health acquisition
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A spokesperson for CVS Health says 230 employees will be impacted as a result of the recent acquisition of Omnicare.
"As part of the integration of our two businesses, we have identified some overlap of corporate functions between the two organizations. As a result, a number of Omnicare corporate employees based in Cincinnati, Ohio will be released over the next several months," said CVS/pharmacy director of public relations Mike DeAngelis.
Those affected will be eligible for transition packages to cover financial benefits, career transition support and counseling. Many will also have an opportunity to apply for open positions at CVS Health, according DeAngelis.
CVS Health acquired Omnicare on Aug. 18.
