CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – U.S. Bank, through the U.S. Bank Foundation, has awarded a $1,000 grant to Soldiers and Families Embraced (SAFE), a nonprofit organization dedicated providing free confidential counseling to service members, veterans and their families.

“Every $50 we receive provides another counseling session for a combat veteran or a family member,” said the Rev. Jodi McCullah, executive director of SAFE. “Our professional and highly confidential counseling services are provided at no cost to the client, but we do pay our counselors a minimum for their time and energy. Most of those counselors are either veterans or military family members themselves and they are with SAFE because they believe so highly in the mission.”
