Poll: Do you agree with Christie plan to track immigration visas like FedEx boxes?

TRENTON --What do you think about Gov. Chris Christie's plan to track immigration visas like FedEx packages?

Not to be outdone by Donald Trump on the topic of immigration, Christie -- a Republican presidential candidate -- last weekend derided the "knuckleheads" at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for not being able to keep track of foreign nationals who overstay their visas.

Speaking at a New Hampshire town hall and later, at a buffet luncheon at the home of a former Mitt Romney supporter, Christie said that if elected president, he planned to hire Federal Express founder and CEO Fred Smith to develop a "biometric" technology to fix the problem of visa overstays, which account for roughly 40 percent of illegal immigrations.

"We need to have a system that tracks you from the moment you come in, and then when your time is up ... however long your visa is, then we go get you," said Christie. "We tap you on the shoulder and say, 'Thanks for coming. Time to go.'"

What do you think? Should the U.S. use a tracking system for visa holders? Vote in the informal, unscientific poll below.
