EnerNOC Q2 Net Loss Narrows, Reaffirms FY15 View

Energy intelligence software provider EnerNOC Inc. (ENOC) Thursday announced a narrower second quarter net loss of $18.78 million or $0.66 per share, compared to net loss of $27.385 million or $0.96 per share last year. On an adjusted basis, net loss narrowed to $8.943 million $0.32 per share from $20.694 million or $0.73 per share a year ago.

On average, 8 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $1.28 per share. Analysts estimates usually exclude special items.

Total revenue for the quarter increased to $72.50 million from $44.055 million last year. Wall Street was looking for $63.32 million.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, the company expects earnings in the range of $0.47 to $0.57 per share, while adjusted earnings is expected in the range of $0.80 to $0.91 per share. Revenue for the third quarter is expected to be $224 to $239 million. Wall Street expects $1.37 per share on revenue of $249.85 million.

Further, the company confirmed its full year guidance of net loss of $3.12 to $3.02 per share and adjusted net loss of $1.72 to $1.61 per share. Revenue for the full year is continued to be projected in the range of $410 to $430 million. The Street expects a loss of $3.09 per share on revenue of $423.06 million.
