Homes sales in the Main Line increased with 1,324 homes sold in the first half of 2015, up 6.2 percent from 1,247 in 2014.

Homes sales in the Main Line increased to 1,324 homes sold in the first six months of 2015, up 6.2 percent from 1,247 homes sold in the first six months of 2014. Median home prices decreased 2.5 percent to $390,000 in the first six months of 2015, compared to the median sale price of the first six months of 2014, which stood at $400,000.

The average number of days a home remained on the market increased from 63 days in the first six months of 2014 to 67 days in the first six months of 2015.

According to a Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach HomExpert Market Report, there were 97 properties that closed in the first six months, compared with 68 from the year before. In 2013 that number was 97.

The median price of the properties that sold in the first half increased 3.7 percent over the same period in 2014, from $284,500 to $295,000. In 2013, the median price was $280,000. The average days on the market decreased by 5.3 percent from 76 to 72 days between 2014 and 2015.
