This Russian Warrior Cop Rammed His Patrol Car Into An Oncoming Car To Save 300 Schoolchildren

In an act of great heroism, a Russian cop rammed his patrol car headlong into an oncoming vehicle to prevent a road mishap that could have taken the lives of several schoolchildren. 

Aleksandr Kosolapov, the hero cop, was on an escort duty, patrolling 9 buses carrying around 300 schoolchildren from a summer camp back to the city of Abakan in southern Siberia. All of a sudden, a speeding vehicle in the opposite lane started directly into the direction of the convoy. Kosolapov, without fearing for his own life, plunged his patrol car headlong into the oncoming vehicle and prevented the collision thereby saving hundreds of lives.

“As a result of the massive collision the patrol car was literally turned into a pile of metal. According to the experts, it’s a miracle the police officer is still alive,” said Khakassian police in a statement.

The Toyota that could have caused the crash was carrying five people, including a 10-year-old, who by the grace of God survived the crash with minor injuries. And the schoolchildren on-board the buses were 'safe and sound', owing their lives to the braveheart who, even though seriously injured himself, miraculously survived the collision.

Kosolapov is stable, confirmed a police spokesperson Sergey Kuznetsov, and further adding that he had already spoken to his colleagues.

The police has since the accident received a massive amount of letters, all expressing gratitude and a note of thanks to the valiant cop. The spokesperson further said that if the doctors give a go-ahead, the schoolchildren will soon visit the recuperating officer in hospital.

A case has been registered against the 'reckless driver' who put everybody's lives in jeopardy.
