Notify Technology Corporation, an independent software vendor specializing in wireless solutions and services, has enhanced its NotifyLink On-Premise and On-Demand versions to support both the Apple (News - Alert) iPad with WiFi or WiFi + 3G using the iPhone 3.2 OS. Users will be provided with wireless email and PIM synchronization combined with a robust set of mobile device management functionality by NotifyLink. Any iPhone or iPod touch device as well as a variety of email platforms including Novell's GroupWise, Sun's Java Communications Suite, Oracle's (News - Alert) OCS and Beehive Suites, Mirapoint's Messaging Server, Alt-N's MDaemon, People Cubes' Meeting Maker, and OpenText's First Class will be supported by NotifyLink.
An updated NotifyLink support for the iPhone (News - Alert) 3GS, including wireless synchronization of email and PIM or calendar and personal address book, global address lookup, and remote wipe was launched by Notify last August. NotifyLink's latest enhancements for Apple iPad will also support all the existing features with additional security features, like setting password strength, minimum password length, inactivity timeout, and the wipe of the device after a number of failed unlock attempts. Some users have requested to simultaneously support both an iPhone and iPad on the same email account. This feature is also supported by NotifyLink but requires the use of multiple licenses.
Paul DePond, president and founder, Notify Technology said with the latest enhancements to NotifyLink, the company can now offer any size enterprise, government, and educational customer additional functionality for their iPad, iPhone or iPod touch device requirements. With the customer demand for supporting any of the Apple devices using NotifyLink solution, the quarterly revenue growth has increased. Notify customers now have the option of choosing between On-Premise or NotifyLink On-Demand versions for connecting their iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices to one of the supported email platforms, DePond concluded.
Enterprises that want to maintain and support their wireless email and PIM synchronization on site can use the NotifyLink "On-Premise". The NotifyLink "On-Demand" is a hosted service designed for enterprises wanting to avoid the maintenance and support of an "On-Premise" solution and still deploy any number of Android, BlackBerry (News - Alert), Palm/Web OS, iPhone/iPod/iPad, Windows Mobile, and Symbian wireless devices.
