Walmart employee suspected of stealing $1,640 in cash: Brooklyn Police Blotter

Theft, Brookpark Road: A Cleveland woman, 33, who is an employee at Walmart, is suspected of stealing $1,640 in cash from her register. The report is dated Nov. 20.

Disorderly Conduct Intoxicated, Biddulph Road: A Brooklyn man, 31, was arrested Nov. 26 after he tried to throw a chair through the front door of the Brooklyn Pub.

Drunken Driving/Driving Under Suspension/Drug Abuse, Interstate 480: A Berea man, 32, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Nov. 24 after the car he was driving was stopped for speeding on Interstate 480. He also had an open bottle of tequila and a baggie of marijuana in the car. He has three active suspensions on his license.

Petty Theft, Ridge Road: A Broadview Heights man, 27, was caught shoplifting at T.J. Maxx Nov. 24. He tried to steal $111 worth of merchandise.

Open Container/Physical Control, Westbrook Drive: A Bedford man, 24, was arrested for open container and physical control of a vehicle while intoxicated Nov. 23 after he was found passed out behind the wheel of his running vehicle.

Burglary, Tiedeman Road: A 72-year-old man had his home burglarized Nov. 20. Someone pried open a rear window, ransacked the house and stole several items.

Drunken Driving, Ridge Road: A Wellington, Ohio man, 62, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Nov. 20 after he was involved in an accident in the parking lot outside Five Below.

Theft, Brookpark Road: A Parma woman, 29, had her wallet stolen from her unattended shopping cart Nov. 20 at Walmart. A checkbook, debit card, driver's license and a military I.D. were inside the wallet.
