Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy Thanksgiving 2015 Sales & Hours: What’s Open, What’s Closed, & Hot Deals

Thanksgiving 2015 sales are as piping hot as that turkey with gravy many are planning to roast this year. So, if getting great deals at stores such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy tempts you even more than pumpkin pie with extra whipped cream, find out below what’s open, what’s closed, plus where are the deals and hours for the best sales on Thanksgiving this year.

What’s clever this year when it comes to Thanksgiving sales is that some companies are offering deals earlier online than in retail stores, points out Time.

Walmart is taking on the role of becoming the biggest survivor when it comes to hours, with sales that begin early and last long. Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day (November 26, Thursday), Walmart is offering pre-Black Friday and turkey day specials. For those eager for those doorbusters in the retail stores, those begin at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Amazon doesn’t want you to be drooling in anticipation of Thanksgiving Day sales, reports IBT. Labeling its pre-Black Friday sales the “Eight Days of Holiday Deals,” Amazon has special deals that alternate for limited times, ranging from Kindles to vacuum cleaners to laptops. If you are a Prime user, you get a 30-minute jump start.

But Walmart also has a pre-Black Friday sale that includes electronics, bedding, furniture, and toys for kids, babies, and toddlers. For example, you can nab an iPad Mini for $199. And a bonus at Walmart: Its “Dare To Compare” offer helps you stress less by providing promises to provide products at the same price or at a lower price than competitors.

Throwing its hat in the ring, Best Buy also has sales that begin even prior to Thanksgiving, plus free holiday shipping. You can get a flash drive for $40, a Samsung Galaxy tablet for $79.99, or the coveted MacBook Air for $900. And selected Samsung Galaxy products come with a $250 gift card, whether you lease or buy.

As for Target, the retail giant is bellying up to the bargains bar by offering sales even before Thanksgiving, reported AL.com.

November 24, Tuesday, features 40 percent off family sleepwear. You can avoid the kitchen on Wednesday, November 25, with Target’s frozen pizza buy one, get one free deal. On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, the doorbusters deals go wild, and can be viewed here by scrolling through Target’s ad.

As for Walmart, the offers vary from items for kids to those for cooks. For example, the Razor E300 Electric 24V motorized ride-on scooter is priced at $219, while the Nutri Ninja Pro Blender is reduced to $59.99. And to work off those Thanksgiving Day dinner calories, the Skywalker Trampolines 12 foot round trampoline and safety enclosure is $219.

What’s Open, What’s Closed On Thanksgiving Day

There’s a difference between when some stores open and when their deals start on Thanksgiving, notes Syracuse.com.

While some Walmart stores are open for 24 hours, the deals don’t start until 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Best Buy opens at 5 p.m. Thanksgiving, and then closes at at 1 a.m. on Friday before re-opening again. If you’ve got kids, you may want to mark your Thanksgiving Day schedule to note that the doors open at Toys ‘R’ Us at 5 p.m. Target opens at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
