A teen and pre-teen discount retail chain specializing in merchandise that costs $1 to $5 is opening its first Huntsville store at Westside Centre next month.
Pennsylvania-based Five Below will hold a grand opening March 13 in part of the old Bed Bath & Beyond building next to Shoe Carnival on 6275 University Drive N.W. The company will also open stores soon on 390-A Cox Creek Parkway in Florence and 526 East Meighan Boulevard in Gadsden.
Five Below sells a variety of items, including accessories, bath and body, candy and beverages, room decor and storage, stationery and school supplies, books, iPhone accessories, novelty and gag items, seasonal merchandise, games and more. The publicly-traded company currently has more than 300 stores in 19 states and is actively looking for new sites.
Job fairs will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 19-22 at the Huntsville, Florence and Gadsden stores, according to Five Below's website. The retailer will conduct on-the-spot interviews for manager and sales associate positions at all three locations.
