Innospec To Sell Aroma Chemical Business To Emerald Kalama For $40.5 Mln

Innospec Inc. (IOSP) Monday announced an agreement to divest its Innospec Widnes Ltd, an aroma chemical business to Emerald Kalama Chemical of Emerald Performance Materials LLC for around $40.5 million.

The sale will be closed by the end of July 2015 and expects to use the proceeds for balanced capital management programme.

Innospec said it will continue to focus on Fuel Specialties, Oilfield Specialties and Personal Care.

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. is recalling six lots of Sapropterin Dihydrochloride Powder for Oral Solution 100 mg to the consumer level. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the recall was due to powder discoloration in some packets leading to decreased potency.
