Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Down four cents, or 0.75 per cent, to $5.30 on 9.4-million shares.

Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Down 21 cents, or 1.66 per cent, to $12.43 on nine-million shares.

Teck Resources Ltd. (TSX:TCK.B). Miner. Up $1.50, or 7.05 per cent, to $22.77 on eight-million shares.

First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Up 31 cents, or 3.07 per cent, to $10.42 on 5.6-million shares.

Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Up three cents, or 0.56 per cent, to $5.34 on 5.4-million shares.

Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Up three cents, or 0.51 per cent, to $5.90 on 4.6-million shares.

Fairfax Financial Holdings (TSX:FFH). Insurance. Down $4.65, or 0.63 per cent, to $739.35 on 28,203 shares. An investor group led by Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd. and CI Investments Inc. have signed a deal to buy Golf Town Canada Inc. as its U.S. parent Golfsmith International Holdings restructures its debt under court protection from creditors. Golfsmith says Fairfax and CI have also agreed to support its recapitalization and restructuring plan for its U.S. business.

George Weston Ltd. (TSX:WN). Grocer. Up 61 cents, or 0.56 per cent, to $109.59 on 114,944 shares. W. Galen Weston is stepping down as executive chairman of George Weston Ltd., the country’s largest food processing and distribution company, and will be succeeded by his son. The elder Weston will become chairman emeritus of the company, while his 43-year-old son Galen G. Weston, becomes chairman.
