Scarborough to speak at USG Town Hall forum

UA President Scott Scarborough will be fielding questions at a public forum on Monday, Oct. 5.

The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) is hosting the event at 3 p.m. in the Student Union Theater. This marks the second forum in a series USG has labeled as “Town Hall” meetings.

These forums give students an opportunity to pose questions to important faculty members. USG hopes to “produce transparency from the administration and gain insight into student concerns,” according to USG President Taylor Swift.

“USG is here for the students,” Chief Justice Garrett Scherba said during an interview.

Scherba went on to encourage students to ask any and all questions. “We want [students] to leave the Town Hall knowing their question was answered,” he said.

Students will be able to send in questions via text, which Scherba will then read aloud to the panelists. Due to time constraints, every question cannot be answered. However, Swift assures that USG will post Scarborough’s answers to the remaining questions.
President Swift encourages students who are unable to attend to mail their questions to [email protected] before the event.
