I.D. Systems extends 900K contract with Knight Transportation

Woodcliff Lake-based I.D. Systems Inc., a provider of wireless machine-to-machine solutions, announced Thursday that it has extended its contract with Knight Transportation Inc. to provide trailer tracking and management services for Knight’s trailer fleet.The VeriWise asset tracking system, according to a news release, combines sensor, wireless and web technologies to provide real-time visibility and control of trailers and their cargo.

The contract, which has a term of one year, has an estimated value of $900,000.

“We have tightly integrated VeriWise systems as a best practice for managing our trailer fleet operations,” Steve Grover, Knight’s senior vice president of technology and innovation, said in a prepared statement. “As part of this contract extension, we are expanding the way we interface with the system’s valuable data. I.D. Systems’ Asset Intelligence team has worked with us to develop outstanding, innovative software tools, including fuel management dashboards, mobile device reporting and a mobile field service management application.”
