Laurel Dollar General robbed Sunday

A Sussex County Dollar General was robbed Sunday.

The Laurel Police Department responded to the store located on Sussex Highway for an armed robbery at about 7:53 a.m. Nov. 22, according to a press release.

Police say an unknown man wearing a black hoodie and a mask covering the bottom portion of his face had a black-colored handgun. The man, approximately six feet tall, was also wearing jeans.

He left the store in an heading east across the highway, according to the release.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be provided as it unfolds.
