A store employee has now been arrested as the accomplice of a man police said stole hundreds of scratch off lottery tickets earlier this year.

Jennifer Ann Medillin is charged with burglary of a building with a $10,000 bond. 29-year-old Justin Ware was arrested earlier this month and remains jailed on $75,000 bond on the same charge.

Investigators said several months ago, a burglary was reported at Sam’s Dollar Saver on Holliday.

The locked office door had been pried open and the following items were reported stolen: 200 lottery tickets, $2,000 in cash, a notebook containing sold lotto ticket serial numbers, and the computer containing the store surveillance video.

Police said Medillion may have left the main door unlocked at closing time. They said she told them her boyfriend at the time, Justin Ware, brought all the tickets to her home and had earlier taken her key to the store.

Medillion also told authorities that she admitted helping scratch the tickets and driving to stores cashing them in. Police said her fingerprints were found on the recovered tickets.

Medillion has a criminal record dating to 2002, including forgery, theft and counterfeiting  inspection stickers.
