Amy Paros

Hamden, Conn. - Amy Paros of Westfield, Massachusetts, has been appointed assistant teaching professor of management at Quinnipiac University.

"I joined Quinnipiac University because I am passionate about mentoring and wanted to make a ground-up contribution to the field of business," Paros said. "Great businesses are nurtured and driven by competent, hardworking and inspirational leaders. Quinnipiac's School of Business students embody these traits. I am so very honored to be part of the education and development of tomorrow's great business leaders."

Paros, who grew up in Windsor Locks, earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Hamilton College. She also has a master's degree in operations management as well as an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She graduated with a doctoral degree in business administration from Northcentral University.

"My goal is to couple classroom learning with real-word mentoring in a way that supports student success and prepares students for working life after Quinnipiac," she said.

Before joining Quinnipiac, Paros most recently worked as an aerospace program manager for United Technologies Aerospace Systems (formally Hamilton Sundstrand) in Windsor Locks. She also has experience as an operations customer lead, lead project engineer, and contract administrator with United Technologies Aerospace Systems.
