K&L Gates, a firm buffeted by partnership departures in recent months, snagged a big hire of its own this week by bringing on Paul Hastings IP co-chair JEFFREY RANDALL as a partner in Silicon Valley.

The Recorder, a sibling publication, reports that Randall makes the move to K&L Gates after wrapping up a six-year civil and criminal trade secrets case at Paul Hastings for South Korean industrial conglomerate Kolon Industries.
