Gig Tank graduate Collider has been chosen to be among three dozen startup companies pitching their businesses and trying to land $50,000 in investment at Tennessee's biggest entrepreneurial conference scheduled in Nashville for June 4-7.

LaunchTN, the state entrepreneurial program headed by Chattanooga native Charlie Brock, is bringing top speakers from Walmart, FedEx and AOL to its showcase annual event in Nashville billed as 36/86 (the longitude and latitude numbers for Nashville) along with a pitch competition among 36 companies, including Collider.

The Chattanooga-based Collider makes Orchid, a proprietary machine that produces production parts in traditional manufacturing materials.

Walmart Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Jeremy King, FedEx Founder and CEO Fred Smith, AOL Co-founder Steve Case, Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist will be speakers during the four-day event.

As the senior technologist at the largest retailer in the world, King leads Wal-Mart's data and cloud platforms and is working to bridge the gap between in-store, eCommerce and mobile retail.

"Jeremy King is a leader who embodies the spirit of what the entrepreneurial culture in Tennessee is all about," Brock said. "His rare van tage point on technology and business blends the agility of an ambitious startup with the reach and scale of the world's largest retailer."

In addition to conducting a fireside chat on June 5, King will serve as a guest judge for 36|86 Student Edition, a pitch competition for university-based startups, on June 4.
