World Fuel Services Corp. (INT), Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $29.9 million or $0.42 per share compared to $48.2 million or $0.68 per share last year.
Adjusted earnings dropped to $37.9 million or $0.53 per share from $57.9 million or $0.81 per share last year.
Revenues for the quarter rose to $8.50 billion from $11.34 billion last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.71 per share on revenues of $7.68 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
