San Francisco – Williams-Sonoma continues to expand its new-concept presence with the opening this week of a former location in Calabasas, Calif., that now includes a Williams-Sonoma Home showroom.

The unit closed earlier this year when the lease came to term. After receiving “dozens of letters from loyal fans” asking for the store to reopen, Williams-Sonoma secured its original anchor position at The Commons at Calabasas shopping center and introduce a newly designed store.

The 5,000-plus square-foot location includes a new cooktop for demos, an eight-seat cooking island for culinary classes for both adults and children and curated indoor and outdoor Williams-Sonoma Home vignettes that will debut for the first time at the location.

The Calabasas store is the third Southern California location to integrate Williams-Sonoma Home – the others being the Beverly Hills store and South Coast Plaza.

Doors open officially tomorrow, but a special celebrity book signing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday with Kris Jenner, matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family, who will be introducing her cookbook, “ In The Kitchen With Kris.”

“We’re thrilled to return to The Commons at Calabasas where the sense of community is so strong,” said Williams-Sonoma president Janet Hayes. “We look forward to serving our customers here again and welcome them back to our store with a whole new look.”

The store is located at 4776 Commons Way.
