DENVER — A passenger on a Spirit Airlines flight was cited for disturbing the peace and assault after getting into an altercation with a flight attendant at Denver International Airport on Sunday, the Denver Police Department said.

The 41-year-old man got into a dispute with the flight crew about which row he could put a child seat, police said. As the man was yelling, he then struck a male flight attendant in the back, police said.

Police were called and he was taken off the plane.
