Whole Foods Market (WFM) Dropped To A New Low After Q3 Miss

Whole Foods Market (WFM) reported third quarter EPS of $0.43 after the close Wednesday, compared to $0.41 in the previous year. Analysts expected EPS of $0.45. Fourth quarter EPS is expected to be between $0.34 and $0.35. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $0.38.

Whole Foods Market gapped open dramatically lower Thursday and slipped further around midday. Shares finished with a loss of 4.74 at $36.08 on the highest volume of the year. The stock dropped to a new low for the year.
