Panasonic's latest firmware update brings post focus technology to three Panasonic cameras.

Back in July, Panasonic announced it was developing a new technological function called ‘Post Focus’ which enables photographers to select alternative parts of the image they want to be in-focus and now, the technology is available to Panasonic camera owners via a firmware update.
The firmware update, available today, is for the Lumix DMC-GX8, DMC-G7 and DMC-FZ330 cameras and the below video demonstrates how it works:
This isn't the first time we've seen 'post focus' technology as Lytro have been doing it for a while however, it is the first time we've seen it in cameras that don't have the Lytro name on them. You can learn more about Panasonic's 'Post Focus' technology in our previous announcement.
