Beat the 5 P.M. Slump With This Essential Coffee Cocktail
We call it the Joe Manhattan.
From 9 to 5—as far as drinks go—coffee is king. And in the canon of classic whiskey cocktails, the Manhattan is a recipe that every guy should have in his back pocket. (We make ours with rye whiskey). So it just makes sense that we've brought the two together in a drink we're calling the Joe Manhattan—a nicely balanced iteration of the classic topped with Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso for the requisite energy boost to start out the evening. Use this recipe to make it for one, or scale up to fuel a crowd.

Ingredients
- 1 oz. rye whiskey
- 1 oz. dry vermouth
- 1/4 oz. maraschino liqueur
- Dash of bitters
- 1 oz. (or as desired) Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso
Directions
- Step 1Combine first four ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice and stir.
- Step 2Pour over ice in a rocks glass.
- Step 3Top with Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso.
