StoneCalibre had announced the acquisition of Anatrace, a subsidiary of Affymetrix, Inc. Anatrace is a specialized developer, manufacturer and distributor of high purity detergents and synthetic lipids utilized in membrane protein research and study.

Anatrace had created a broad portfolio of detergents and lipids currently available in the market. It has the core competency to develop and manufacture creative solutions to stabilize and solobulize macromolecules.

According to StoneCalibre Founder and CEO Brian Wall, "We are confident that as a standalone company, Anatrace will continue to build on its tradition of collaborating with its global consumer base to help answer critical questions in the advancement of important studies across multiple scientific fields including cancer research."

For its part, Affymetrix CEO Frank Witney said, "StoneCalibre has been a great partner for us through this process.
