Apple Inc., maker of the iPhone and iPad, was awarded a patent for a wand-like device that can control a television set through gestures.
Patent 8,881,049, issued Nov. 4, covers what Cupertino, California-based Apple called a technology for “scrolling displayed objects using a 3D remote controller in a media system.”
