With filming commencing earlier this year, the upcoming X-Men film will be Munn's debut performance the franchise.
She'll be playing the role of Psylocke, a sword-slinging master of telekinesis.
Describing her character, Munn recently told Entertainment Weekly: 'Psylocke's outfit or uniform or suit or whatever you want to call it is very sexual. She's very strong and she's very lethal and she's very powerful, and it doesn't really matter what she's wearing as long as you have that strength and that presence.'
And Munn flaunted the superhero's suit on a recent cover of Entertainment Weekly.
Joined by co-stars Oscar Isaac and Michael Fassbender, Munn's character has purple streaks in her hair as she wears a tight-fitting leather leotard.
The actress took to Instagram to share her excitement about the cover photo and the film with the playful caption: 'Let's talk about X, baby!'
In preparation for the role, Munn has been practicing her skills with a sword and, in fact, she's gotten quite good.
The actress recently took to Instagram to show off her samurai savvy.
A recent video shows Munn swinging the blade around her body with expert precision, as Rodgers practices in the background with a safer, bamboo version of the samurai weapon.
