The chief executive officer of Discovery Communications was paid $156-million in 2014, or 1,951 times more than a typical worker at the media giant. It's the highest CEO-to-worker pay ratio among S&P 500 companies, according to data from job-hunting website Glassdoor.com. Three other companies – Chipotle, CVS and Wal-Mart – had ratios in excess of 1,000. On average, S&P 500 CEOs make about 204 times more than his or her median worker, the research found.
