Wells Fargo part of Rebuilding Together

Burlington

Wells Fargo has been a supporter of the Rebuilding Together program of Greater Burlington.

The financial firm has been partners with this organization since 2008, hosting volunteer events for our Burlington-based team members and also providing funding. It has been a collaboration as they share a common goal of affordable home ownership and community revitalization. Since 2008, Wells Fargo has provided more than $125,000 and over 650 hours of sweat equity from our volunteers to support Rebuilding Together of Greater Burlington.

Recently Wells Fargo team helped to rehab a house on Hollow Road in Hinesburg. Wells Fargo provided $15,000 in grant funding and 60+ hours of sweat equity. At this build, Wells Fargo team members made necessary home repairs for safety of the homeowner and helped to make the home more energy efficient (and therefore more affordable) for the homeowner, Priscilla.

The all-volunteer team helped install safety railing for the porch, clear debris from the lawn, reorganize indoor living spaces, power wash the home and install new energy-efficient windows and doors. The team looks forward to continuing the collaboration in 2016.

“Wells Fargo is thrilled to partner with Rebuilding Together of Greater Burlington on a project that addressed the critical housing needs of a local resident,” said Ron Boucher, first vice president and investment officer at Wells Fargo Advisors.

“Our team members enjoyed spending the day outside of the office and with one another helping a very grateful homeowner. We are proud to provide funding for Rebuilding Together and to put volunteer time toward our shared vision of a healthy and safe home for every person. I am looking forward to our next volunteer project and would encourage any local company seeking a positive team-building experience to consider volunteering with Rebuilding Together of Greater Burlington, VT,” he said.
