PELHAM, N.H. (AP) — Police say they found a New Hampshire man sitting naked in a chair in his third floor apartment claiming he shot four burglars who tried to break into his apartment by cutting a hole in the closet wall.

Pelham police responded to the Nashua Road Apartments Saturday evening. They say the 67-year-old naked man had a gun beside him on a desk and found four pistols, two rifles, a shotgun, about 200 gun magazines and more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition in the apartment.

Police say there were no signs of forced entry.

The man was taken to a hospital for further medical evaluation.

No one was injured. The man was charged with felony reckless conduct and is set to be arraigned Nov. 26 in Salem.
