Barnes & Noble event celebrates Throwback Thursday

Barnes & Noble in Stockton held another of its Get Pop-Cultured events July 16 at the Weberstown Mall store.

Two previous Throwback Thursday events celebrated the 1950s and the 1960s; the July 16 event honored the 1970s. The Central Valley Cruisers have attended all three events, donating the use of their cars for the Bookfair Fundraiser the store is holding for Stockton Civic Theatre. The cars displayed July 16 included a 1971 Ford Mustang, a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle and a 1971 Pontiac Firebird.

Stockton Civic Theatre actors performed scenes from their upcoming production of “School House Rock.” The event also featured Rubik’s Cube and karaoke contests.

Another Throwback Thursday event is  scheduled, for Thursday (1990s), along with other events. Information: crm2920@bn.com.
