KCG Holdings Inc KCG disclosed its trading volume averaged $26.0 billion in respect of market making in March. The company said 5.1 billion shares were traded and 3.7 million trades per day were recorded in the American equities.
As far as the institutional equities were concerned, KCG Holdings said it averaged 239.3 million equity shares traded a day in the United States. Similarly, BondPoint averaged $215.6 million fixed income par value traded a day.
As far as the overall market conditions in March were concerned, the company said the consolidated U.S. equity volume averaged $263.5 billion in dollar volume and 7.7 billion shares traded per day. KCG said the realized volatility for the S&P 500 was 11.6. There were 22 trading days in U.S. equities and 21.5 in fixed income in March.
On Wednesday, shares of the company traded up 5.38 percent.
