Tantalus Rare Earths AG: Legal Challenge against Resolution passed by the
Extraordinary General Meeting

Grünwald, June 28, 2016 -Tantalus Rare Earths AG (Tantalus) announces the
following:

As announced on April 14, 2016, Tantalus' Extraordinary General Meeting on
11 April 2016 approved the proposed sale of all shares in Tantalum Holding
(Mauritius) Limited to the Singapore-based company Apphia Minerals SOF PTE.
Ltd. Altogether 2,134,687 shares (corresponding to 62.73 % of the shares in
Tantalus) were present and of these 2,133,145 (99.3%) voted in favor of
approving the transaction.

Four shareholders holding together approx. 0.036 per cent of the shares in
Tantalus have raised a legal challenge against the resolution passed by the
Extraordinary General Meeting on 11 April 2016.

It is the firm understanding of the Company that the challenge by the said
shareholders is without merit. Tantalus will respond to challenge in due
course and will publish updates in the matter as appropriate.
